Aphrodite is one of the twelve Olympian gods, renowned for her beauty and romantic affairs. According to legend, Aphrodite plays a pivotal role in the start of the Trojan War. In a beauty contest between Hera, Athena, and herself, Paris, the prince of Troy, judges Aphrodite as the fairest. In return, she promises him the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen, whom Paris then abducts, igniting the conflict.
